K77/17-VMBBZ
by: Bud
I took my 1st VMBBZ out to Kansas & Wyoming prairie dog shooting a couple of years ago. Mine had the laminated stock & 24" stainless steel barrel. I scoped it with the BSA sweet 17 3-12x40. I went through around 2000 rounds (not 1 problem with the gun) & shot around 1750 dogs. The times I missed was because of the wind. The ranches I hunted at couldn't believe I was dropping those things religiously between 150 & 250 yards & was doing it without scaring the hell out of their livestock or wearing my shoulder out. They loved me cause I was actually getting rid of a lot of their dog problem & wasn't out there just to punch holes in the dirt. I liked the gun & scope so well, I purchased a backup gun identical to the one I took out there. I went from the BSA 3-12x40 up to the 6-18x40 which really helps for those 250 yard plus shots that I take once in a while. This system for me works consistently & the people where I shoot give me a place to stay & feed me. This year they even offered to help purchase my ammo if I needed it. Can't say enough good about this combination. Ruger made a hell of a rifle & BSA optics made a hell of a scope. Can't wait to get back out there in May.....Bud
