The Ruger Model 77/22 was conceived as an elegant small-game and
target rifle - a smallbore sporting rifle with universal appeal. Its
popularity led to the 77/44, an outstanding choice for hunting deer in
thick cover. Both are uniform in balance and style, and are nearly the
same weight.
Ruger's patented detachable rotary magazine and three-position safety
make it perfectly balanced and easy to load or unload. The Ruger
77/22 Hornet has all of the fine features of the 77/22 and 77/44, and
is ideal for economical shooting at distances of 150 - 200 yards. Its
quiet report and centerfire power, along with a reduced danger of
ricochet, make the 77/22 Hornet the natural choice for varmint and
predator control
The Ruger 77/44 has the perfect combination of stopping power, light
weight, short overall length and low recoil. The .44 Magnum is
excellent for even the biggest bucks you'll come across in brush
country or tall timber. The reliable action and rotary magazine feed
up to four decisive shots.
